Malaysia is considered as one of the best options for international students seeking to pursue quality education at affordable cost. Without an iota of doubt, Malaysia is a friendly tourist country in the world with inexpensive living. Some of the Malaysian Universities are among the top 100 universities of the world, while the cost of living and tuition fees are as low as US$ 5000 annually. International students are allowed to do part-time job in Malaysia during semester breaks or even during semester with the written permission from their university.
Pakistan is among the top seven countries from where students come to Malaysia to pursue their studies. Over 4,000 Pakistani students are currently enrolled in Malaysian universities and majority of them are studying in the universities located in Kuala Lumpur. Majority of the universities require IELTS as their English test requirements. However, many universities have their own tests for admission purposes. It is pertinent to note that no bank statement is required for the visa purpose; however, the bank letter is mandatory to apply for a Student Visa.
Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) is the wing responsible for promoting Malaysia as the international education hub of choice and to position Malaysia as the top 10 education destination. It is also the principal body that manages the movement of international students in Malaysia, including facilitating visa processing. It organizes and participates in different international education fairs in different countries of the world. Being one of the priority markets, a regular education fair is held in Pakistan to facilitate Malaysian universities in the recruitment process.
EMGS organized Study in Malaysia Education Fair in Hyderabad and Karachi in September 2023. This event was managed by Education Scenario International (ESI) – a reputable event management company established in 2001.
Nine top-ranked Malaysian universities participated in the event. The three-day fair attracted thousands of aspiring students seeking quality education in Malaysian Universities at affordable cost and opportunities for partial and full scholarships. In addition to education fair, Malaysian universities’ delegation visited different institutions for collaborations and affiliations. These institutions included NED University of Engineering and Technology, Muhammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU) and DHA Suffah University.
Consul General Mr Herman Hardynata Ahmad graced the Education Fair in Pakistan, which was organized by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) at the Movenpick Hotel, Karachi.
The education fair was participated by Malaysia’s nine higher education institutions namely, Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), Multimedia University (MMU), SEGi University & College, Universiti Malaya (UM), UniversitiTeknologi MARA (UiTM), UniversitiKebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), UniversitiGeomatika Malaysia, Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) and UNITAR International University.
The event saw a remarkable turnout as numerous individuals flocked to explore the higher education opportunities Malaysia offers.
